In Madhya Pradesh recruitment, "Nirank" refers to the Actual Open vacancies where any eligible candidate from that category can compete. The Special Quotas (Home Guard, Contractual, Ex-SM) are horizontal reservations carved out of the category total.

A. Van Rakshak (Forest Guard) - 728 Total Posts

7. Mode of Selection (Detailed Stage-wise)

The selection for all 1,679 posts will be conducted through a transparent three-stage process:

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (Written Exam)

• Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

• Total Marks: 100 Marks.

• Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes).

• Subjects: General Knowledge, General Hindi, General English, General Mathematics, and General Science.

• Standard: 10th Level for Forest Guard/Prahari and Graduate Level for Sahayak Jail Adhikshak.

• Marking: 1 mark for each correct answer; No Negative Marking.

• Shortlisting: Candidates equal to 10 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be called for Stage 2.

Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Nature: Mandatory but Qualifying only. No marks are added to the final merit.

• Process: First, physical measurements (Height/Chest) are checked. Candidates who clear the PST proceed to the PET (Running/Shot Put/Walking).

• Forest Department Specific: Candidates must complete a Walking Test. Failure to complete the 25km/14km walk within 4 hours leads to immediate disqualification.

• Jail Department Specific: Candidates must pass both the 800m race and the Shot Put. There are no second chances for the race.

Stage 3: Document Verification & Medical Examination

• Scrutiny: Shortlisted candidates must present all original documents (Caste, Domicile, EWS, NCC, etc.) for verification.

• Medical Fitness: Candidates must be certified medically fit by a District Medical Board as per the standards of the respective department.

8. How the Selection Quota Works (Important)

1. Open/Nirank: This is for candidates without any special background. If you are a student just applying normally, you fall here.

2. Home Guard: Must have served as a volunteer in the MP Home Guard. Valid certificate (Praroop-3) is mandatory.

3. Contractual (Samvida): Specifically for Forest Department posts. Candidates must have 5 years of continuous service in any MP Govt. department.

4. Quota Merging: If eligible candidates for Home Guard or Ex-Servicemen quotas are not found, those specific seats are typically filled by candidates from the Nirank (Open) list of the same category.
